Description
I remember when Big Finish announced that they were going to give the 8th Doctor a new costume. I also remember my initial reaction being along the lines of. THE HELL YOU ARE!?! But I have to say I like the bag, the awesome new sonic screwdriver and the blue leather coat (even if it is stepping on Eccleston toes a bit).
However I love the old costume and the only problem I have with the Big Finish one is that it looks like a new variation of the 9th doctor’s look instead of a variation on 8s.
So by adding a shirt tie and a more modern looking double breasted waist coat i have made it to look like something the 8th Doctor would wear instead of the 9th. Oh and of course giving him back his long hair. Because while Paul McGann might suit short hair, I believe the 8th Doctor doesn't.
So this is The Original Costume standing side by side with my version of the Big Finish Costume.

I did a cosplay based on this, the only thing I changed was made the waistcoat Denim to match the pants.
